Educating our children

Educating our children

ACIU-EUROPE  aim is to Education Above All Foundation,  to trigger significant breakthroughs and a makes difference in the lives of our Abiriba children who have no access to primary education. ACIU has been helping and reaching out to  children in all the various community and compound ( Ezi ) their right to a quality education.

Though the  collaboration with our donor, and strategic partners to ensure that children are enrolled in quality primary education.

The partnership is driven at every level by the shared belief that all children have the right to a quality education, regardless of who they are, where they live or how much money their family has.

Even  children in Abia State  could not access quality primary education due to barriers such as extreme poverty, cultural constraints and conflict were failing to learn the basics, even though more than half were in school.

ACIU-EUROPE  projects enhance the quality of education by constructing new classrooms with gender-sensitive WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) and disability facilities, designating safe spaces, providing teacher training, distributing school materials and strengthening alternative learning programmes. We use innovative and location-appropriate measures to support children’s access to education and empowerment – for example, through cash transfers to Abiriba that offer parents the opportunity to develop sustainable income paths, and by working with communities and faith.

“You cannot make people learn. You can only provide the right conditions for learning to happen.”

Ignoring the economic dimension of education would endanger the prosperity of future generations, with widespread repercussions for poverty, social exclusion, and sustainability of social security systems

“Even the wisest mind has something yet to learn and Early childhood education is the key to the betterment of society.”
